Marisa Novello began her publishing career working at Penguin Random House for many years, first in the Sales department before transitioning into an editor role. Having worked for the top paperback trade sales team in the world, she mentored under forecasting experts and has a knack for recognizing a book’s potential in the marketplace. She was even part of the strategic initiative that helped mid-list books like The Girl on the Train, Station Eleven, and Were Were Liars become bestsellers.
Marisa holds a Master’s in writing and mentored under some of Penguin’s most notable publishers and editors, where she learned to develop talent and manuscripts so they can become a commercial success. After recent years of developing news skills in marketing, she’s excited to get back to her passion–working with books and building her client list.
The name Skyteller is a nod to ancient myths and legends created from storytellers used to explain mysteries and magic of the universe such as constellations in the sky. Their tales were always about connection, wonder, a lesson, and adventure.
